HISTORY
History of Sustainable Agribusiness Review (SAR)
The Doctoral Program in Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur, established Sustainable Agribusiness Review (SAR) as a credible and professional scholarly journal publication platform. SAR was initiated by the Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Agribusiness, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hamidah, M.Si., by bringing together promising young lecturers to manage the electronic journal. SAR encourages the application of socio-economic, management, and agribusiness theories to examine, analyze, and explain various issues related to sustainable agribusiness. The scope of the journal covers environmental aspects, such as the preservation of soil, water, and biodiversity; economic aspects, such as increasing farmers’ profits and ensuring food stability; and social aspects, such as farmer and community welfare as well as social justice. In addition, the journal is supported by technological aspects, including the application of precision agriculture innovations, biotechnology, and renewable energy to improve resource efficiency, as well as policy and institutional aspects, such as government regulations, incentives, and the strengthening of farmer institutions. On December 19, 2025, SAR obtained its E-ISSN 3123-6146. The journal is published twice a year, in May and November. Its initial indexing platforms include Garuda, Google Scholar, and Crossref. The journal’s editorial office is located at the Faculty of Agriculture Building, 2nd Floor, Jl. Raya Rungkut Madya, Gunung Anyar, Surabaya 60294, Indonesia.
